The event, called "Cybersecurity & AI get real: Attacks. Players. Solutions," seeks to explore the vast potential of Artificial Intelligence in Information Security.

From their website (Link here):

"The current threat of cybersecurity in industry, government and society is significant. Exemplified by recent attacks thought to be originating in innocuous consumer tech (toasters etc.) or IoT devices (thermostats etc.), in email communication (related to elections), in websites (slowing or taking them offline) or in intranets (stealing sensitive info, corporate espionage). We will particularly look to cover the opportunities and threats of artificial intelligence given its immense potential and scope for information discovery.

MIT Startup Exchange (STEX) is convening a workshop on Thursday, February 16, 2017, 08:30 to 11:30 AM, at One Main Street, Cambridge, MA, to discuss the latest advances in cybersecurity innovation from the perspective of the corporates, academics, VCs, and startups in the MIT ecosystem redefining the field today. We aim to cover innovation models, technologies, collaboration patterns, market places, players, and partnerships, particularly at the intersection of the three innovation foci emerging: cybersecurity, AI, information security."
